The tree which gave home to the shipwrecked Swiss Family Robinson (known from the movie of the same name) can be visited here. The
shipwreck is nearby and can be accessed over a shaky ponton-bridge.
The tall, 27m (90ft) banyan-tree can be seen not only from the treehouse! The labyrinth (you can see an entrance to the left) is filled with the
roots of the tree. At one spot you can look up the whole tree. It's amazing to see how the pieces of the wreck were combined with the gifts
of nature to create this unusual house.
BTW: The tree consists of some tons of steel and concrete and is covered with half a million of vinyl-leafs!
